｜The Writing Athlete: Racing Through Pain to the Finish Line of Stories

It is a special day.
For the first time,
even opening a package makes my hand feel pain.
This is likely caused by long periods of typing.
The hand injury has become a problem,
and there is currently no clear solution.
I am deep into the narrative of Zone 2, but the scope has grown far beyond my initial vision.
It is a highly interconnected world; adjusting even a single thread causes ripples across the entire structure.
I want to accelerate the restructuring of this world, but time is a finite resource, and my hands are a fragile bottleneck.
I’ve realized I must treat writing like endurance sports—meticulously controlling my pace and duration to survive the distance.
My goal remains unchanged: to reach the end of the story.
There are things beyond our control.
This pain was born from my writing, and I cannot predict where this injury will lead me.
Once the stories of Zone 2 are live on Amazon, Google, and D2D, will they find their readers?
Can I truly sustain myself as a professional author?
These questions remain unanswered.
I choose to move forward.
Today I saw two articles.
The first was about protests in Ireland.
Because fuel prices increased,
some roads were blocked and looked like parking lots.
At the same time, some gas stations ran out of fuel.
The second was about a dog-friendly train in Taiwan.
Some passengers said they got on the train to see dogs,
but in reality, there were more people than dogs on the train.
