🟪Why I Chose to Publish a Traditional Chinese Version

I graduated from a business school and I am also a book reviewer.

Some people might feel that
liking romance novels conflicts with a business school background.

🟪My view is simple.
As long as a book makes people want to keep reading,
whether it is web fiction, literary works,
or business books, it has value.

Just like food,
I eat pizza, sushi, and fries,
and I also eat rice and vegetables.
As long as it is something people are willing to accept in the moment, it has value.

🟪AI told me
that the reason I could not finish a novel
was that I chose the wrong direction and wrote in the wrong genre.

It believes my way of thinking is influenced by business school training
and suggested that I enter the English market.
It also believes that my story is not suitable for readers who read in Chinese.

🟪All of my past works were rejected by Taiwanese publishers.

I have accepted this
and understand that my work is not easy to develop in the Taiwan market.

My original choice was to focus on the English market.

🟧In my initial plan,
I did not intend to publish a Traditional Chinese version.

But a group of people changed my decision.

I ran a paid subscription column for a year,
some people chose to subscribe,
and others supported me in different ways.

Among them, one reader
provided regular monthly support
but did not subscribe.

🟧This support made me feel for the first time
that my writing has meaning to others.

In the future, my work will be published in both Traditional Chinese and English
so that readers of different languages can access it.
